In 2007 Google released the Google Earth plug-in which allows all browsers to bring a rich 3D visualisation of the planet right into a browser. So far the uptake among developers has been slow while the plug-in capabilities and the powerful programmers interface present capabilities never before available to software developers.
Dinther Product Design Ltd is a product design company specialised in simulation solutions, 3D modelling and software development. We have been involved in many commercial projects ranging from entertainment driving simulators linking to real cars to realistic physics simulation for Aircraft pushback training. Currently we are the principal designers of a medical procedure simulator. We always ensure we have time to explore new technologies. Google Earth application development is such a technology that we don't want to ignore.
While exploring the capabilities of Google Earth we realised that this technology is underestimated and has a lot of potential. As a proof of concept we took one of our simplified ship simulation algorithms and build an initial ship simulation using Google Earth. The results were beyond our expectations as the Google Earth engine proves a very capable and reliable platform.
The concept
Based on the initial success of building a decent application around Google Earth we build a larger idea of a multi player trading game the ship simulation. A brand new gaming concept that we think will appeal to a more mature audience.
We have a lot of ideas for games, simulators and other concepts all based around Google Earth and the wealth of world map data available today. We want to build PlanetInAction.com to become the place where this software can be accessed.
Investment proposal
We are looking for investors that want to help to build Planetinaction.com. While we believe that the ship trading game will become a hot title, we also have ideas for other applications and of course would welcome new ideas and projects involving Google Earth. We are looking for someone who is keen to make money from our creativity while we won’t do to bad ourselves either.
